Q: How should I store my cupcakes?

A: If you are picking up your cupcakes a day early, or have leftovers, don't refrigerate them! They will stay freshest at room temperature, as airtight as possible. They also freeze really well!

Q: And what about my cake?

A: Just to confuse you, cakes should be kept in the fridge- whether you're picking up the cake a day early, or have leftovers. Take it out a few hours before you plan on serving.

Q: Are you nut-free?

A: We are not. We have nuts in our kitchen and use them in many of our products. So, even if your order has no nut products in it, we cannot guarantee that anything is 100% nut-free.

Q: What about other dietary requirements?

A: We offer gluten-free or egg-free cakes and cupcakes by order only. There is a minimum order of 6 regular cupcakes, 12 mini cupcakes or a 6" cake. Please keep in mind that we are not a gluten-free kitchen, so our products are not certified gluten-free.

Q: How soon should I order my cake?

A: As soon as you know! While we require a minimum of 2 business days for party cakes and a week for custom cakes, we often book up further in advance, even for simple cakes. So please give us as much time as possible to avoid disappointment!

Q: How do I go about ordering?

A: Orders can be placed in person, over the phone or by email. Keep in mind that if you call or come in, the person you speak to may not be a decorator, so may not be able to confirm details like design and pricing and the decorator may have to call or email you back. Pictures of what you like, colour swatches or other decor items are always helpful for reference! We will need a 30% deposit to confirm any cake orders or custom cupcake orders of $50 or more.

Q: What if I need to cancel my order?

A: With more than one week's notice, we will refund any deposit made on the order. With less than a week's notice, the deposit will not be refunded but any additional payments will be refunded. With less than 2 days notice, no refund will be given.

Q: Do you deliver?

A: We accommodate deliveries as much as possible, depending on timing and location. Typically we cannot accommodate day-of deliveries, but if you're in need of an urgent cupcake fix, or want to send some to a friend, you can order from us through skipthedishes.ca

Q: Do you offer stand rental?

A: Yes, we have various cake and cupcake stands that are available for rent. Rental prices range from $10-$30, depending on the size and style of the stand. We will also require a credit card number; the card will only be charged the $100 deposit if the stand is not returned by the agreed-upon date in good working condition.
